1.Introduction University of British Columbia

The University of British Columbia's Role in Advancing Sustainability and Social Change: A Catalyst for Economic Growth, Cultural Development and Innovation!

The  University of British Columbia paper reports on a project aimed at bringing. To light the history of higher education, and more particularly. How higher education has evolved in Western society and in Canada. It appropriately offers modern higher education through multiple learning environments.

The universities and degree-granting colleges have approximately 800 years. Its recorded experience as institutions of higher learning. During this period, their role and the substance of their instruction. They have undergone considerable evolutionary change.

In the industrial era that followed the agricultural era. The number of university of British Columbia and students has grown. Their structures have been modified but without radical change. In educational objectives, methods, and content. Although higher education is a significant institution of society, much of its history. Heritage, and significance has been hidden in an unwritten past.

Such a depository of scholastic records as had been accumulated. It was under the control of ecclesiastes, the learner, and the clergy. During and after the Renaissance, with its emphasis on nature instead. Theological knowledge, knowledge claims were transferred to secular scholars and institutions.

2. Recruitment and Enrollment of International Students

Recruitment and enrollment of international students have become increasingly important for institutions. The higher education in the United States and comparable countries around the world. The increasing globalization of markets, technological advances in communications, global trade policies. The recognition that  students contribute to the diversity of the student body. And campus environment, and the desire for the additional revenues. That international full-fee students provide. They have all contributed to a shift in focus towards students. In recent years, institutions have been establishing offices. It is specifically to recruit and welcome students.

While many institutions have recognized the appeal of recruiting ill students. There are several issues involved in competing for foreign students. First, do students have the education and skills necessary? To meaningfully participate in an American education? Second, are real students changing the purpose and function. Higher education in the US? Finally, the interests and needs of foreign students. It is often different from those of American students.

3. Cultural and Academic Integration

1.1. Definition and Importance

When students achieve cultural and academic integration on campus. They are more likely to become successful graduates. Students who achieve cultural and academic integration feel connected. To their institution and are more likely to be retained. In an ideal situation, a home away from home, students can enjoy life, receive a quality education. And eventually contribute to society both in their new home and in their country of origin.

Cultural and academic integration is the vehicle that encourages. The development of a campus community of citizens. Students from widely diverse backgrounds interact and learn. To appreciate and respect one another at a close and personal level. These interactions contribute to the development of all persons. These include the intellectual, social, emotional, and ethical aspects of each.

We also believe it is important for each institution of higher education. To inculcate in students globally competitive skills. So that they may work and succeed in the global market. After all, we must prepare our students to be leaders in the global environment issue in which they work.

4. Economic and Social Contributions

Since the early 1980s, the economic and social contributions of women have received. Increasing attention from policymakers as it has become evident. The development process is enhanced by the improvement of women's status. There are valid economic, social service offices. And developmental reasons for this growing interest.

Economically, exclusive attention to men's activities in development underestimates. The contribution of women to the economy. Thus the potential of women's contribution to economic development. In most countries in the developing world. The women are responsible for the welfare of their families. Given the fact that the majority of the world's poor are to be found in the poorest countries. It is also true that most of the poor in these countries are predominantly women.

In many countries, more sons than daughters go to school. Whereas more daughters than sons enroll in adult activities. In terms of employment, the formal labor market has expanded. More for men than for women, with the subsequent increase in income.

Finally, laws have not always assigned the same rights to men and women. In terms of land property, access to credit, and other significant factors. In addition to the unspoken social reality that women's autonomy depends on the community. On the control they have over their own income.

In view of this, attention to the economic and social contributions. Women are a critical aspect of the development process in general. Women will continue to contribute to economic and social development. The major question is: how such contributions are going to be handled.

5. Conclusion and Future Directions

To potentially upturning how we conceive of and design learning. This change will likely affect almost everyone. It is involved in education, from learners to educators.
